Climate change will impact all of us. The concrete impacts and their magnitude differs, however, from region to region. Furthermore, your vulnerability will depend on the place and the way you have build your city or town, the preparedness of people or protection measures already in place.
You can start by thinking about past extreme weather events at your place and what damages they caused. Is there something to learn from it regarding future events? Or did such event hit your neighbour region and next time it could be you? What can you learn from them? What information on projected climate change impacts is available from national or regional authorities? Even if it provides you only a rough idea, it can be a starting point to explore more. Look also after low-lying houses and infrastructure. What would happen to them in the event of flooding? How much water can your sewage system cope with? How well are buildings isolated and shadowed to provide cool indoor climate under heat waves? Where do you get your water from and what happens in drought periods? ...
